The Metamorphoses of Apuleius, which Augustine of Hippo referred to as The Golden Ass, is the only ancient Roman novel in Latin to survive in its entirety. The protagonist of the novel is Lucius.A novel of some-times comical adventure, it focuses on life in Greece under Roman rule.
This translation of The Golden Ass by Jack Lindsay is printed in an edition of fifteen hundred copies for the members of The Limited Editions Club by John S. Fass at The Harbor Press at The Harbor Press in New York;  Percival Goodman (illustrator) 'who here signs his name' - Copy number 1109.

Book in good condition. Bookplate on inside cover. Some fading/scuffing on the spine and light scuffing on the cover. Slipcase in poor condition - has tearing, bumping at edges and scuff marks.
